How are orders shipped and how much does shipping cost?
All orders placed before 3 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (Monday-Friday) will ship same day. Orders placed after 3 P.M. or during the weekend, holidays or when we are closed will ship the next business day (Monday-Friday). Orders are shipped via United Parcel Service (UPS) Ground service. This service typically takes between one to five business days to be received, depending on your location. Please see the UPS Ground Shipping map listed under our Shipping Info section. We also offer expedited shipping services including Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air and 3 Day Select. Please call us toll free at 800-959-4569 to help you select the appropriate shipping method. Shipping costs are calculated based on weight, size and destination of the package.
Does Sure Glow offer printing and custom products?
Sure Glow offers printing on the majority of our products. These products can be found under the Printed Items section on our website. Is there sales tax on my order?
Sales tax is not charged on any order that is shipped outside of New York State. For orders shipped within New York State, sales tax will be charged according to the county that the order is shipped to. If you are tax exempt, please contact us before an order is placed. What form of payments does Sure Glow offer?
Our preferred form of payment is by credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express). Other payment methods include Paypal and Google Checkout. We also accept payment by check or money order. Please note that all checks must clear before the order will ship.
If we pay by a check, how long is the order held for?
All orders must be prepaid. You may choose to send payment in the form of a check. We will hold all checks for 14 days or until they clear.
Once activated, how long do lightsticks last?
There are several factors that must be considered in determining how long a specific lightstick product will last. These factors include size and temperature. Our products typically last 6 to 12 hours. Please refer to the Specifications tab located on each product page for more information.
TEMPERATURE: Expect a brighter glow in warmer temperatures. Also, please expect a decrease in duration of glow in warmer temperatures. The opposite is true in cooler temperatures. For example: Products used in a climate with a temperature of 50°F will last almost twice as long as a product in climate of 90°F. Products also emit a brighter glow at 90°F than at 50°F.
SIZE: Larger lightstick products will glow longer than smaller lightstick products. This is because more chemicals are contained in larger lightstick products versus smaller products.
What is the shelf life of your products?
The shelf life of our products is 1 to 3 years, depending upon the product and how it is packaged. To maximize the shelf life of your products, store in original packaging until ready to use.
How do lightsticks work?
The glow process is rather simple; when lightstick products are flexed, a chemical solution reacts with a second solution contained in the plastic casing. This causes a mixing of two chemical which result in a form of energy that produces visible light. No noticeable heat is released during this reaction.
Can I stop the glow and use it the next night? Maybe. As noted above, duration of the chemical reaction is controlled by temperature. Therefore, by placing an active lightstick in a freezer, you may be able to extend the life of activity.
